Weight Loss Programs

You have all heard of them. They have been around for many of years, but with the passing of each year they promise greater loss in shorter times. Jenny Craig claims that you can drop ten pounds before the holidays…which holiday is to be seen in the fine print. Weight Watchers claim that they are the oldest weight loss program on the market and the that should make you believe in them. Never been a fan of getting on a scale in front of people that I love, let alone complete strangers that sit and watch the little digits climb or fall every week. I believe that this is just pressure to stop eating or to eat less. Then of course you have Dr. Bernstien that claims that he has the best results that his “team” will melt the fat off. But what many don’t know is that this program is outrageously expensive and it requires the use of needles. Not a fan of needles this program seem a little extreme, however I know people that have been on it and they have had great results until the program ended.

Thousands of people around the world have tried on or all the mentioned programs listed about. Not that one is better then the rest. Just some people find one easy to stick to then the rest. I believe that we all need a course on eating properly. I know people that still don’t know that vegetables are not something only rabbits eat. Doctors will tell you everything in moderation, it is up to you to know what moderation is.

Why then do so many run to these weight loss programs? In a word…support. It is said that if two people diet and exercise together they will have a much better chance then it only one does it on their own. It is human nature, if we have support we just do it.
